Are female skincare products suitable for men? Men’s skincare usually designed for oily skin as sebum secretion of male is much more than female and the fragrance would be masculine. Basically, female skincare products would not be harmful to male if you choose the products of right skin type and acceptable scent. As beginners, just remember 3 steps to keep your skin from excessive sebum and acne.

Only a few minutes each day to finish 3 basic steps, day after day, you must able to control sebum freely.

1. Cleansing

You need a facial cleanser just like you need a shower gel for bath. Cleans your face twice a day with a cleaner to wash all the dirt and excess sebum. Your oily problem would only become worse if you wash too many times a day. Instead, you may use oil blotting paper too absorb excess sebum in between.

2. Toner

Cleansing is only the first skincare step, however, only washing without toning would irritate your sebaceous gland to secrete more and more sebum. Without oil protection, water would be easily evaporated from the exposed skin cell. It is necessary to apply toner immediately after cleansing to replenish water loss, sooth irritation with pore tightening effect and neutralize pH after cleansing. To prevent acne, some toner added with powder to kill bacteria and absorb sebum.

3. Moisturizer

Moisturizer is the most important step in sebum controlling process. It acts as insulator to restore moisture under skin so as to reduce the irritation of sebaceous gland and slow down sebum secretion. Moisturizer in oil-free formula or light texture is better for oily skin. Furthermore, there are sebum-controlling products available for oily T zone area, but never apply on acne area to worsen the inflammation.
